SANDRA EVISON

With over 35 years of NHS experience in gastroenterology and critical care, she is a highly experienced Dietitian registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Dietetic Association. She graduated in 1989 with a BSc in Dietetics from Queen Margaret University (formerly Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh) before beginning her career in Nottingham.

During her NHS career, she developed extensive expertise in managing complex clinical nutrition across acute and long-term conditions, supporting patients through critical illness, recovery and rehabilitation. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based care, clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

Now working in freelance practice, she brings this specialist knowledge into a personalised setting, helping clients navigate conflicting nutrition advice and translating scientific evidence into practical strategies for sustainable health and wellbeing. Her areas of special interest include prehabilitation and rehabilitation, bone health, women’s health and preconception nutrition, digestive conditions and sustainable weight management. She offers an initial 15-minute discussion to ensure an appropriate and collaborative fit for prospective clients.
