Once injected into the synovial cavity of the knee, Arthrosamid® disperses within the joint fluid and binds to the synovial tissue. Over the following 6-10 weeks, it becomes fully integrated, softening and increasing the elasticity of the joint lining.

The LUNA study is the most significant and up-to-date evaluation of Arthrosamid® to date. Interim 1-year findings (2024) show that: Patients experienced statistically significant improvements in pain, stiffness and overall joint function at 12 months. Arthrosamid® was well tolerated, with no serious safety concerns. Benefits were maintained across mild, moderate and some severe OA groups.
